Flipkart is one of the most popular online shopping platforms in the country, known for its claims of quick delivery and its vast network of delivery agents. I am writing this article to raise awareness about the poor conduct of delivery agents and the lack of effective customer support that I personally experienced recently.
The Order and the Broken Promise
On December 10th, I ordered a Motorola G57 Power (8GB RAM / 128GB Storage) through Flipkart. I made a full payment upfront, and the platform promised delivery by December 12, 2025. However, that date passed without any updates from the delivery partner.
A Game of Excuses
I finally received a missed call from a delivery agent on Monday, December 15th. When I called back, he claimed the product had been mistakenly assigned to him and that my location was not on his route. He promised that the “correct” agent would deliver package on the very next day.
That promise was also broken. The wait continued until December 18th. Every time I called the agent, he repeated the same excuse: he was assigned the wrong route. Meanwhile, on the Flipkart app, the status was being updated with false information, stating that I was “unreachable”. This was a blatant lie as I was home waiting the entire time.
The Cost to My Health
Yesterday, I called the agent every two hours. Each time, he promised delivery by 6:00 PM, but it never happened. This situation was particularly difficult for me as I am a person with a disability and use a wheelchair. I was supposed to visit my doctor last week, but because of their constant promises of delivery, I stayed home and missed my appointments. This delay has negatively impacted my health. I lost an entire week waiting for a phone that was an urgent too.
No Help from Customer Support
When I reached out to customer care via chat, they were dismissive and unhelpful. I eventually spent an hour on the phone with a senior support executive, but even after that long conversation, no solution was provided. Out of pure frustration, I was forced to cancel the order.
Final Thoughts
It is unacceptable for a major platform like Flipkart to behave this way. I am raising this concern to demand that Flipkart take action against irresponsible delivery agents and improve their support systems. We, as customers, deserve better than false promises and poor treatment.
