The popular social media platform Instagram has officially announced that it will enable users to see and control the Reels algorithm of its users. This is actually happening for the first time in the history of the application.
You can be able to see and control your algorithm by simply tapping the icon showing two lines with hearts located in the upper right corner of the application. It will enable you to see what topics Instagram thinks you’re interested in, and you can able to select which of those you want to see more or less of, and your recommendations will adapt accordingly.
The latest update of Instagram will also enable you to share your interests as devised by the Instagram algorithm to your Story as well. The capable of checking out and modifying what the algorithm thinks you like will expand to the Explore tab in the future and other sections of Instagram.
It is worth mentioning that the new ability of Instagram is currently available in the United States and the same will be available globally in English “soon”.
