The popular mobile chipset maker MediaTek has officially launched its latest chipset for mid range devices dubbed the Dimensity 7100. The device is listed on the official website of the company and it supports 5G connectivity. So let’s get into the article to check out the complete details.

The latest MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor is built on TSMC’s 6nm process and the same features an eight-core CPU setup including four Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked at up to 2.4 GHz and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores running at 2.0 GHz.
It also comes with the Arm Mali-G610 GPU for the graphical task and the processor is said to be around 5 percent more power-efficient during app usage, up to 16 percent more efficient during multimedia playback, and up to 23 percent more efficient on the modem side compared to the previous generation. The integrated 3GPP Release 16 5G modem supports download speeds of up to 3.3Gbps and the latest mobile processor uses MediaTek’s UltraSave 3.0+ technology that will be reducing battery drain during extended 5G sessions.
The latest mobile processor also supports LPDDR5 RAM at speeds of up to 5500Mbps and supports UFS 3.1 storage. Wireless options include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. The processor features 10-bit color depth and HDR video playback.
Speaking about the camera department, the mobile processor supports sensors up to 200 megapixels, along with HDR imaging, multi-frame noise reduction, and hardware-accelerated face detection. It will be supporting 45W fast charging and the UFCS universal charging protocol, it also comes with a new power management system.
