Just a couple of hours ago, it was a big buzz in the world of technology, as the website of the very popular social media platform, TikTok, was accessible in India. This started a fire in the rumour of the lifting of the ban on the application in the country.
We know that the government of India banned TikTok and 59 other Chinese applications, including the very popular messaging application WeChat, from India in 2020.
The decision was taken not to compromise security and the privacy of the users. However, the rumour has been thrashed as the sources to the government have said that the ban is still on, which means TikTok will not be available in India.
