Airtel India’s largest mobile networking operator is now landed its footprint into the banking sector. Airtel also offering wallet called Airtel money, which was the first to receive payment Bank licence from the Reserve Bank of India.
The first payment Bank in the country has gone Airtel payments Bank, and the bank provides interest of 7.25% per year on savings account this is the highest interest offered by any bank in India. As the beginning of the service the first project is launched in Rajasthan and it would be accessible across all the Airtel retail outlets of the state.
To open a bank account you can use Aadhaar card based KYC method, and no other document required for the process. Customers airtel mobile number would be the account number, Airtel banks will not issue any ATM card or debit card, but your customers can withdraw cash from the designated Airtel retail outlets. Along with the account, the bank also providing a personal accident insurance cover of ₹1 lack with every saving account.
Users can access the banking services by dialling *400# or calling to 400 and the system will offer you in Hindi and English languages, and it will work on basic mobile handset also.
