Back in 2014 and 2015, Asus made some great value for money phones, even there Zenfone 2 was the first phone with 4GB RAM. But last year that’s 2016 the game has changed, there phone’s were overpriced. Actually, in the older Asus Smartphones, they used intel processors which exhibits overheating and optimisation is not that good with many games. But they got subsidies for the processors that’s why there phones were in value for money category. But in 2016 they opted for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors that changed the game. They don’t get the subsidies by Qualcomm and in the result, the prices of the Smartphones raised. Now in 2017, things are changing even more, the market is getting more competitive and that’s why it’s time for Asus to make a wise decision. Just today Asus announced that they are going to launch the Asus Zenfone 3s Max in India. It’s the same Pegasus 3s that was launched in China few days back, in early January. The highlighting point of this phone is it’s massive battery capacity. So what’s inside this Zenfone 3s Max ? Let’s find out.
This Zenfone 3s Max sports a 5.2” HD 720p display with 282 PPI, many other companies are offering 1080p display with the competitive price but that’s okay as it will be good for battery life. It has Mediatek’s MT6750 octa core processor clocked at 1.5Ghz with Mali-T860MP2 GPU that will be decent for the extensive performance, but not well when compared to other competitors. It is coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage with expandable storage via SD card upto 128GB. Regarding camera it has 13MP rear facing camera with dual tone LED flash and an 8MP front facing camera. On the software side it will come with Android 7.0 nougat out of the box, first Asus phone to come with nougat. There’s a fingerprint sensor on the front home button. Dual SIM support is there with 4G VoLTE.

Now coming to the highlight of the phone, the battery. This Zenfone 3s Max has a massive 5000mah battery that’s a 900mah bump from previous Zenfone 3 Max. Other phones can be charged up by this phone with the included OTG cable. The battery life will be insane because of the more power efficient 720p display compared to almost all phone’s 5.5” 1080p display. Fast charging support should be there.
Asus will launch this phone on 7th February. There would be only one colour option that’s the Gold colour. We will get to know about pricing and availability on 7th February hut we expect this to be priced below Rs.10000 , but that’s Asus so anything can happen. Stay tuned with us for more information.
