Realme 12 Pro series goes official
Realme has introduced the 12 Pro and 12 Pro Plus models in India. The Realme 12 Pro Plus features a 6.67-inch curved ProXDR AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device has the power of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 mobile processor along with upto 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage. The device runs on Android 14 with Realme UI 5.0 out of the box.
Realme 12 Pro Plus features an OIS-assisted 50MP Sony IMX890 primary sensor, an OIS-assisted 64MP OmniVision OV64B 3x periscope telephoto shooter, and an 8MP ultrawide unit. The device also features a 32MP front-facing camera. The Realme 12 Pro Plus smartphone is backed by a large 5,000mAh battery along with 67W wired charging. The device also features an in-screen fingerprint sensor and Dolby Atmos-supported dual stereo speakers. On the other hand, the 12 Pro features a 6.7-inch curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 mobile processor along with 8GB of RAM on the board and up to 256 GB of internal storage. The device runs on Android 14 with Realme UI 5.0 out of the box.
The Realme 12 Pro smartphone features a triple rear camera setup with an OIS-assisted 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor, a 32MP Sony IMX709 sensor with 2x telephoto lens and OIS, and an 8MP ultrawide unit. The device features a 16MP selfie camera. It also comes with Dolby Atmos-supported dual stereo speakers along with an in-screen fingerprint sensor for an additional layer of security. The device houses a large 5,000mAh battery along with 67W wired charging technology.
The pricing of the 12 Pro starts at ₹25,999 and the device will be available from February 6. While the pricing of the 12 Pro Plus starts at ₹29,999 and the device will also be available from February 6 in the country.
No more Nokia mobiles
HMD Global is gearing up to launch its self-branded mobile devices in the near future before the expiry of its Nokia mobile contract and now the company has confirmed to kill Nokia mobiles as the renamed Nokia mobile account to HMD (Human Mobile Devices), and this is clear that we are about to say goodbye to Nokia.
Smartphones To Be Cheaper In India
The Indian government has reduced import duty on mobile parts and this will help to boost manufacturing and this will result in value-for-money devices in the market. Import duty on key mobile manufacturing components will be reduced from 15% to 10% by the government of India. The components affected included screws, SIM sockets, lenses, and antennas among others. The new move is matching with the Make in India initiative which is targeting to boost electronics exports and make India globally competitive.
Furthermore, the revised import duty also covers items like conductive cloth, LCD conductive foam, LCD foam, BT foam, heat dissipation stickers, battery cover stickers, protective films for main lenses, mylar for LCD FPC, film-front flash, and side keys used in mobile phone manufacturing.
YouTube Premium & Music touches new milestone
YouTube Premium and YouTube Music are very popular and the subscription-based program of the world’s most favorite video platform was introduced in 2015. It actually offers access to a huge library via music service and the premium service of YouTube provides an advertisement-free experience on the board which offers a different level of experience while consuming content online. Google has announced that now the services crossed the 100 million subscribers milestone. This is a significant milestone that even includes a trial version.
Amazon Prime Video shows ads
Amazon Prime Video will start showing advertisements even for paid subscribers in the United States, the platform will be showcasing advertisements for 3.5 minutes per hour and it is promised to not impact the overall user experience. The advertisements will be showcased on the free trial and ad-supported plans of the platform.
Amazon will be introducing advertisements on the board in the United States followed by the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. The company will later expand the advertisement in other regions as well.
