We are watching some very innovative and great smartphones revealing at CES 2017. Now we have a new smartphones with some very powerful specs and fully future proof features. We are talking about ‘Asus Zenfone AR’.
First let’s talking about the USP of this phone, Asus Zenfone AR became the first phone in the World that comes with Google Daydream VR as well as Project Tango enabled. Right now only Google Pixel & Pixel XL is Daydream enabled and Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is the only Project Tango enabled smartphone. So this phone became the future proof smartphone with these two features. Now back in January 2015 i.e. two years ago, Asus became one of the first company who launched Asus Zenfone 2, the first phone with 4GB of RAM. Now in 2017 Asus became the first phone to have 8GB of RAM with this Zenfone AR. Yes, 8GB of RAM. Well honestly speaking at the present time we don’t really need a smartphone with 8GB of RAM, because almost all the apps can’t take advantage of this massive RAM. But as it will be a future proof phone with both project tango & daydream, having an 8GB RAM is a plus point.
Now coming to other specs also this phone is a beast. The Asus Zenfone AR has a 5.7” QUAD HD 2k AMOLED display and 79% screen to body ratio, perfect for daydream. Under the hood is Snapdragon 821 chipset that will be a solid SoC with that massive 8GB of RAM. Regarding camera as it’s a tango smartphone it has 3 camera sensors on back. The first one is the motion tracking camera sensor, second one is room mapping camera sensor and the third one is depth tracking camera sensor. The primary sensor used in this setup is 23MP Sony IMX 318 sensor with the support of OIS & EIS. Regarding fingerprint sensor, by looking at the image we can clearly see that the fingerprint sensor is located at the front home button. Regarding software as it’s Daydream enabled, this phone is obviously running on Android 7.0 nougat out of the box.
We don’t have any other information about this device right now. Regarding pricing, launch data and availability also Asus didn’t mentioned anything. But it may launch in Q2 of 2017. We will inform all about this to all of you soon.
