As I said in my earlier posts regarding OnePlus 5, the bunch of leaks for OnePlus 5 will come prior to the launch. Few hours before we got a leak that OnePlus 5 will have 4000mah battery, while some earlier leaks suggest 3300mah battery. So now we have another leak towards the OnePlus 5’s battery capacity which seems to be more legit as compared to previous leaks.
As you can read from the image above, the OnePlus 5 will have 3300mah battery inside. So now the probability of 3300mah battery capacity seems be more than 4000mah. As according to previous announcement by Pete Lau (OnePlus CEO) the OnePlus 5 will be the slimmest flagship by OnePlus ever, so the 3300mah capacity seems more legit & practical as of now than 4000mah. If you can understand the incomplete sentences in this image, you will notice that the fast charging on OnePlus 5 is also mentioned, though it is not mentioned that whether the Dash Charge 2 will be introduced or it will be the same Dash Charge as compared to OnePlus 3/3T.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. If OnePlus 5 will have 3300mah battery then don’t expect any improvements in battery, as the OnePlus 3T will have 100mah more battery capacity as compared to OnePlus 5. Now 2 things which can give better battery life as compared to OnePlus 3T are the Snapdragon 835 processer’s 10nm built, and OnePlus’s software optimisation on their Oxygen OS.
