The devices come with the power of the latest generation of AMD’s custom handheld chip. The base model has the power of the Ryzen Z2 APU along with 166GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. It also houses a sizeable 60Wh battery on the board.
While the Asus ROG Xbox Ally X comes with the power of the Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor along with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage. The device will be coming with a larger 80Wh battery.
The devices come with a 7-inch LCD display along with FHD resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 500 nits of peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass Victus for protection. The devices also have a microSD card slot for storage expansion, replaceable M.2 2280 SSDs along with connectivity options including WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4 among others. The devices support 65W charging.
You will be getting the impulse triggers on the Xbox Ally X and Hall Effect analog triggers on the vanilla model. The devices run on Microsoft’s Windows OS. You gets a dedicated Xbox button that launches Game Bar overlays and console tailored UI experiences.
