Googlebook was announced at the Google’s developers conference event in the month of May this year. Popular computer makers have already promised to introduce devices in this category and Asus seems to be one of the first players. The upcoming Asus Googlebook images have leaked online. So let’s get into the article to check out the details.
Going through the images of the upcoming Asus Googlebook, we can see that the device has a dark grey chassis with slim display bezels along with a large rectangular trackpad and the device with also feature a full-size keyboard without a number pad.
The device will also come with a dedicated Google “G” key beside Alt similar to the Windows key. The device will also come with multicolour “Glowbar” on the lid and Asus logo below the Glowbar. We can also see the Googlebook branding on the palm rest and it also features a full-size USB-A port visible. We can see the ports but we don’t have any information about the full selection. The device also features a fingerprint sensor along with a cooling fan and heat pipe inside.
It also has a centred taskbar below the display with Google apps including YouTube, Google Photos and Google Play. The Mountain View company Google is trying to place the new Googlebook as a new premium laptop category built around Gemini.
The device will also come with features including Magic Pointer, custom Gemini-powered widgets, Cast My Apps and Quick Access for Android phone files. It will also support Android phone integration but requires Android 17 or later.
It is also confirmed that the device will be available for pre-orders from September 21. Unfortunately, ASUS did not reveal the exact processor, RAM, storage, display, battery capacity, and pricing details.
