The laptops with the power of Android are on its way and these types of devices are the perfect alternative to the Chromebook. The Mountain View company Google and five hardware partners have opened pre-orders for the first Googlebooks and the sales will be starting from October 4.
It is confirmed that the popular brands including Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo are launching a new model with prices ranging from $899 to $1,299. Buyers can purchase from a 2-in-1 to a 15.3-inch laptop.
Every Googlebook comes with a 12-month Google AI Pro subscription for free of cost along with 5TB of cloud storage. The company will also provide three months of YouTube Premium, Photoshop, and CapCut. It is also confirmed that the devices will be receiving up to 10 years of software support.
The Acer Googlebook 14 comes with a 2-in-1 factor and starts at $899. The device features a 14-inch 2.8K OLED touchscreen along with Intel Core Ultra 5 or Ultra 7 processors, and up to 16 hours of claimed battery life.
While the ASUS Googlebook 14 costs $1,299 and it will be the lightest option. Dell’s XPS Googlebook will come with the power of the Snapdragon X Elite processor along withs glow finish and HP will also launch the device with the Snapdragon X Elite and offers up to 1TB of storage. The device also features both face and fingerprint unlocking.
Lenovo will be introducing it’s Googlebook with a 15.3 inch display. The devices will come with Googlebook OS combines elements of Android and ChromeOS, with Gemini. You will also get features like Magic Pointer and more. The devices will also feature on-device Gemini Nano v3 model for file searches. The company will also integrate Android that will enable users to run Android phone apps directly on the laptop, transfer files and photos between devices without going through the cloud.
