Over the course of few weeks, OnePlus has become one of the hottest topic to talk. From OnePlus 5’s leaks to the official unveiling and some controversies like cheating on benchmark. There were few incidents about the product quality before, now today we have another news for the same. A OnePlus 5 customer got defected phone without the volume rocker.
Mr. Kapil Tondon, a OnePlus 5 buyer, got his unit yesterday. When he opened up the box, he found that the volume rocker is placed loosely in the box. And the socket for volume rocker is empty, as you can see from the image above. Then he posted this photograph on Twitter along with the caption : “Guys this is what assembling in India does ? The just delivered OnePlus 5 volume button/switch missing”. He also tagged OnePlus & OnePlus India Twitter handles, along with the company CEO Pete Lau.
But seems like OnePlus has looked into this matter & is going to solve the same. They contacted Mr. Kapil Tondon that Amazon India is going to replace the defected phone. But as the phone is currently out of stock, the whole amount will be refunded to Mr. Kapil’s account. So it’s nice to see that they at least looked into this concern seriously and took the action on time. We really appreciate this step of Amazon India. But as OnePlus is becoming a very popular brand, these type of defects can lead to damage the brand image. They should look into this issue & make sure that this will not happen again in future.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. We hope that OnePlus will concentrate more on the quality of the product from now onwards. Stay tuned with us for more information.
