Less than 24 hours are left for the unveiling of OnePlus’s flagship phone of the year, leaks of the device are coming out at it’s full speed. As OnePlus 5 is the 2nd most awaited flagship of 2017 (1st is Galaxy S8/S8 Plus) till June, this speed of leaks should not give much surprise. We all know that Camera is going to be one of the USP of OnePlus 5, today we have something about the same. The Verge has a new report according which has all the information about the Rear Camera of OnePlus 5.
By looking at the various sample images teased by OnePlus and some leaks, we are almost sure that the camera will be a strong point for the new flagship killer. As the tagline for the phone is “Dual Camera, Clearer Photos”, it clearly seems that OnePlus is focusing on the camera a lot this time. The OnePlus 5 will have 16MP main camera with f1.7 lens along with a secondary 20MP camera with f2.6 telephoto lens, which helps to capture those bokeh shots like iPhone 7 Plus’s portrait mode. We are happy to see that OnePlus hasn’t gone for the wide angle and monochrome lens, unlike LG G6 & Huawei P9 respectively. Personally I prefer this bokeh mode for the secondary camera in smartphones, which feature you like the most about Dual Camera ? Bokeh, monochrome, and wide angle ? Also as we have seen that the sister company of OnePlus, Oppo has launched their R11 smartphone which uses the exact same camera module which OnePlus 5 will have. But the cameras on both phones will perform differently as OnePlus has told to The Verge that the manufacturing & software processing of the camera is done separately, maybe both companies bought the same camera modules for cost cutting and both will have different features. Also many people has a question that why OnePlus has gone to the vertical camera setup as iPhone 7 Plus’s camera also has the same situation, to this OnePlus answered that if they will set the camera in horizontal way the camera bump will be bigger than the vertical one.
