The social networking giant Facebook announced that there instant messaging application ‘Messenger’ hits 1 billion active users every month. To celebrate the 1 billion active users Facebook Messenger did a cool trick. In Messenger send a balloon emoji and you will see screen full of flying balloons.

WhatsApp which is also owned by Facebook, also hits the 1 billion users in February. Facebook itself has 1.6 billion users every month. The other service of the Facebook family ‘Instagram’ which also have 500 million users to share images every month.
Facebook claims messenger is the second most popular application in Apple’s iOS behind Facebook.

- Every month people sends more than 17 billion photos via messenger application.
- More than 22 billion GIF’s are sent every day.
- There are more than 250 sticker packs available Messenger App, with 4000 stickers and 380 million stickers are sent every day.
