At the AMA (Ask Me Anything) session held at Reddit yesterday, OnePlus answered many questions which includes many important answers like when Android O will reach to OnePlus 3 & 3T? And now we have an answer to some of the important questions regarding OnePlus 5 as well as OnePlus 3 & 3T. So let’s have a look at both answers one by one.
1st let’s talk about the OnePlus 5. A fan named ImAbhishek asked the question that : “Will the OnePlus 5 be getting EIS for 4K video recording via a future update?” well this question seems to be very legit as the OnePlus 5 lacks OIS as well as EIS on it’s Rear Camera, & it affects the stability of videos. Now Carl Pie has answered this question by saying :
“It’s within our plans, but we didn’t implement it on time. Instead, we focused on stabilization for 1080p video and front facing video — which both have gotten good reviews. So yes, this is coming.”
So all OnePlus 5 users or who’s going to buy one don’t get worried for the video stabilization, as you will get it soon.
Now coming to the 2nd important question. This question was also asked by the same person who asked the previous one that : “Will the Open Betas for OnePlus 3/3T continue to exist now, since OnePlus 5 has replaced the 3/3T as your official flagship? If yes, will the update cycle of both Open Betas(2 updates per month) and Stable updates remain the same?”. Now this question is in many minds who owns OnePlus 3 & 3T including myself. For this Carl Pie answered :
“Yes. Cadence will eventually changes as device ages, not in immediate future though.”
So this means OnePlus is not going to close Open Beta’s for OnePlus 3 & 3T. But they will change the update cycle, maybe once in a month or two.
Now the time for 3rd important question, this question was also asked by same person. This question is about reading mode that comes with OnePlus 5. He asked : “ Will OnePlus 3/3T be getting the reading mode, new camera app and DCI-P3 display mode that we see on OnePlus 5? Is there any hardware limitation preventing any of this from being implemented on the 3/3T?” To this Carl answered :
“Reading mode is powered by a hardware Ambience Sensor.”
That means there’s no hardware in OnePlus 3 & 3T that can support the reading mode’s ambient sensor. Also do note that this reading mode requires different type of ambient sensor, not the regular one which we find on many Android phones.
So that’s all the most important questions for OnePlus 5 & OnePlus 3/3T that needs answers, & we get them all. There were many other questions as well as their answers in AMA session, you can read all those from the source link given below this article. Stay tuned with us for more information.
