After rolling out third developer preview of Android O in last month, Google has released its fourth and final Android O developer preview for the devices of Nexus and Pixel.
Google announced in it’s new blog post, that developer preview 4 is released and it is a ‘release candidate’, which means it should be the stable for developers as well as for the early adopters. The developer preview 4 includes final system behaviors, tons of bug fixes, along with performance improvements. And the developer preview 4 also includes, the final APIs which was available since the third developer preview.
The final preview with the stable version of Android 26.0.0, and it support library, updates to SDKs, tools and Android Emulator system images will be rolled out in the coming days. You can download the Android developer preview 4 in the following devices:
- Nexus 5X
- Nexus 6P
- Nexus Player
- Google Pixel C
- Google Pixel
- Google XL
If you have any of the devices which are mentioned above and are enrolled in the beta program, then you will receive the developer preview 4 via OTA. If not, then you can flash the update manually.
Google is doing the finishing touches on the next version of OS, which is Android 8.0 and it is expected to roll out later this summer. Google still have to announce the official name for the next version of Android, we got a report that it might be called as Oatmeal Cookie.
