HTC the smartphone makers who developed the first Android device, but the company not having good time from sometime. As the company is struggling and finding hard to increase its profits, well that’s not a new update at least for those people who is attached with smartphone industry. Now a new report is coming that the company is may sell its Vive division or maybe the whole company.
According to source, the Taiwan based HTC company is working with an adviser to bring new investors and people who are familiar with the matter says that HTC has had talks with Google for the same. The decision of selling the Vive division surprised me, because the company is doing well and has sold around 190,000 units of Vive virtual reality headset in Q1 2017. Moreover, the company has lowered the price of its Vive headset by $200 in an attempt to make the immersive VR device accessible to more consumers.
As I said above that company already has had talk with Google, and if Google acquires HTC Vive division then it will be a big boost for the Mountain View company. As the company already has its own on virtual reality setup, right now there is no comments from both the companies.
So, let’s wait and see how things will come out. Stay tuned with us, we will update the latest happenings.
