MediaTek has officially introduced its latest flagship mobile processor dubbed the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 and the processor comes with faster NPU along with console like Ray Tracing and better efficiency. The newly announced MediaTek Dimensity 9500 comes with eight cores including a 4.21GHz C1 ultra core, three super core C1 cores clocked at 3.5GHz, and four 2.7GHz big core C1 pro. The company says that the new processor comes with up to 32 percent bump in single core performance and 17 percent jump in multi core performance compared to the previous generation.
It is also confirmed that the processor comes with better efficiency and the peak performance with the ultra core offers up to 55 percent of lesser power consumption. The processor also features the new cache and memory architecture along with the industry’s first 4 channel UFS 4.1 and the same improves performance with large AI models by 40 percent.
The chipset also comes with an improved AI performance with an upgraded NPU, and the chipset is integrated with NPU 990 along with Generative AI Engine 2.0, which doubles compute power for faster large model processing, and it will offer up to 33 percent reduction in power consumption. This will help the processor to offer 100 percent faster LLM output for 4K image generation and the super-efficient NPU is also 56 percent more power efficient than the previous generation.
It comes with the latest ARM G1-Ultra GPU and the same promises to provide up to 33 percent higher performance, along with 42 percent improvement on power efficiency. The chipset is capable to offer up to 120fps frame rate interpolation with ray tracing enabled. The newly announced Dimensity 9500 mobile processor comes with the new Imagiq 1190 ISP and the same supports RAW domain, up to 320MP camera, 30fps continuous focus tracking, an upgraded portrait engine, and the processor also supports cinematic 4K 60fps portrait videos. The chipset also brings Dolby Vision recording at 4K 120fps with EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) and it is something new on Android.
The mobile processor also features MiraVision’s Adaptive Display technology and it can intelligently adjust contrast and color saturation based on ambient lighting via real time analysis. The MediaTek Dimensity 9500 mobile processor supports connectivity options including WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, Dual SIM Dual Active 5G/4G support, and various satellite based positioning technologies like GLONASS, GPS, NavIC, and others. The Dimensity 9500 processor supports LPDDR5X 10667 9600Mbps RAM and memory up to 10.7Gbps, along with UFS 4.0 for storage.
