Instagram consistently bringing new features into the app to give maximum satisfaction while browsing the app, and we got to know that the company is working on a separate app of Instagram for the purpose of the message. Now the company has added a new feature which will show you the last activity time of a user, just like on WhatsApp the last seen feature.
You can able to find the last activity time of your near and dear ones in the Instagram direct messages, with this feature you can know when he or she came online last and also you can know that whether they are currently online or not. And this feature will not reveal everyone’s last online time, it only shows you the guys whom you are following and messaged on the Instagram.
As usual, Instagram knows about the guys who are concerned about their privacy and because of this reason the app allows you to disable this feature and in this way you can hide your last online time.
How to disable the feature
To disable this feature, you need to go to the Options and select Settings menu, then toggle off the button which is provided right next to the ‘Show Activity Status‘ option. And do remember one thing, if you disable this feature then you cannot able to see others last activity time similar to the WhatsApp.
Speaking about the availability, the future is not officially announced by the Instagram and you don’t need to update the app to the latest version to get the feature. It may be a server-side update, and it will be automatically implemented into your version of the app. So, be calm and wait for the new feature.
