From past one year, we were excited about the comeback of Nokia and entry in Android smartphone industry. And five days ago, Nokia launched there first ever Android powered smartphone ‘Nokia 6‘ which was a midrange smartphone and sadly right now a China exclusive phone. You can read about Nokia 6 here. But people are eagerly waiting for the Global launch of a Nokia phone. Also Nokia has said that they will launch 6-7 phones this year. So apart from Global availability, we are also excited about the Flagship smartphone by Nokia. And here we got some rumours of the same. This flagship by Nokia is supposed to be named as ‘Nokia 8’. We got some leaked specs and also images of the Nokia 8. It’s supposed to have two variants. So let’s have a look at them.
This Nokia 8’s one variant is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship Snapdragon 835 octa core processor clocked @ 2.45Ghz built on 10nm FinFET manufacturing process with Adreno 540 GPU. Another variant may have Snapdragon 821 quad processor clocked @ 2.35Ghz built on 14nm FinFET manufacturing process with Adreno 530 GPU. It may have a 5.7″ QUAD HD 2k AMOLED display. In the storage perspective one variant will have 6Gb RAM and 128Gb storage while another variant will have 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, Both have a microsd card slot also. Coming to camera both variant may have a 24MP rear camera with both OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) & EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) and dual tone LED flash. For selfies and video calling it supposed to have an 12MP front camera. On the software side both phones may come with Android nougat out of the box as it’s Nokia’s first Android smartphone. It also may have front facing stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, just like the company’s latest midranger phone Nokia 6. As if now we don’t have any information about the battery capacity. The phone will may have a unibody metal design as seen in the photo.
Coming to extra features this phone is said to have an heart rate sensor, and a fingerprint sensor also. We can’t see the fingerprint sensor on the phone as the images are not that clear & also these photos are not able to cover the whole body.
We are expecting the launch in February at MWC 2017 and it may be launching in other regions also. No information about the pricing as of now.
