Last year when OnePlus launched the OnePlus 3 smartphone, they forgot their OnePlus 2 in terms of software updates. First they promised the Android Nougat for OnePlus 2 and few weeks back they refused to give it, & the reason is lack of enough software resources. That means their software support team is not that strong. Now yesterday they have given a statement about the lifeline of the company, OnePlus 3 & 3T.
Now OnePlus has said that the OnePlus 3 & 3T will get the Android O update by the end of this year i.e. by the end of 2017. This was said by Robin Z. (Oxygen OS Product) has given this statement in yesterday’s AMA (Ask Me Anything) session held by OnePlus on Reddit. One person asked that when they will update the OnePlus 3/3T to Android O ? Can we expect the update by the end of 2018 ? To this Robin replied that both devices will get Android O update by the end of this year. Below is the screenshot of that question as well as answer.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. All my friends who own a OnePlus 3/3T can now enjoy, but don’t overjoy because there’s plenty of time to the end of this year and OnePlus might change this statement. They did the same for OnePlus 2 as well. So just hope that the statement will not change. Stay tuned with us for more information.
