Qualcomm has announced new on-screen fingerprint sensor at the MWC Shanghai 2017, the new sensor can able to work beneath glass, metal and even under the water. The processor maker’s new innovation will be commercialized by next year.

The company says, that the new sensor will be compatible with the Snapdragon 200 series and above, which include the recently revealed 630 and 660 chips. Moreover, the newly announced sensors is also capable to detect Heartbeat and blood flow of a person.
Moreover, the company has announced that they demonstrate the new technology in a tie-up with Vivo on its modified XPlay6 device. Vivo has also teased the new technology in a video. Here’s the video, check it out. It’s looking awesome.
Regarding the price, there is nothing clear statement about the pricing. And it is also a debate topic that will this technology increase the price of a device, anyways let’s wait for more information regarding the new technology.
