Xiaomi launches a bunch of devices under their Redmi series like Redmi Note 4, Redmi 4, and Redmi 4A. These three phones are the latest one by Xiaomi and all three packs super value for money at their particular price range. Now today Xiaomi has unveiled a new device under Redmi series i.e. Redmi Note 5A. This is a budget oriented device as it has the letter ‘a’, but with a bigger display as compared Redmi 4A, it’s predecessor. Also this time Xiaomi has concentrated on selfie in it. Now let’s have a look at what this phone packs in.
This Redmi Note 5A comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 435 octa core processor with Adreno 505 GPU. It sports a 5.5” 720p HD IPS LCD display with 267 PPI. It has three different storage variants i.e. 2GB/3GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage. There’s a MicroSd Card slot for expandable storage. On the camera side it has it has 13MP Rear Camera with f2.2 lens, PDAF, and LED flash. On the front it has 16MP shooter with f2.0 lens for 3GB & 4GB RAM variants, which seems to be better than Rear Camera. For the base 2GB RAM variant it has 5MP front camera. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with MIUI on top. A 3080mAh battery is there to power the device. This time they added a fingerprint sensor on the back side.
The built & design of this phone is the typical Xiaomi designed, A metal unibody design. It comes with three different colours i.e. Platinum Silver Grey, Champagne Gold, and Rose Gold. The device is available in China starting today. Below is the pricing information of all variants :
- 2GB RAM variant for CNY 699 (USD 105, INR 6,723)
- 3GB RAM variant for CNY 899 (USD 135, INR 8,647)
- 4GB RAM variant for CNY 1199 (USD 180, INR 11,532)
As of now there’s no information about the availability of this phone in other countries. But we guess that it might launch in other countries by the end of this year or early 2018.
