Over the past few days we got some rumours & leaks of refurbished Galaxy Note 7, but those are mainly design leaks, not much we know about the specs. If you are thinking that specs of this phone will be exactly same as original Note 7, then you are wrong. As from previous leak we know that refurbished Note 7 has a smaller battery capacity as compared to original Note 7. Today we have some more leaked specs of refurbished Note 7, as it’s not spotted on GFXBench benchmarks. So let’s see is there any other difference or not.
As you can see from the image below, the phone is named as Galaxy Note 7R, which replicates to Note 7 Refurbished. Now talking about the specs, the phone comes with an octa core Exynos processor clocked at 2.6Ghz with Mali-T880 MP12 deco core GPU. The GPU indicates that it is Exynos 8890 processor which was found on original Note 7, but the clock speed indicates to some other Exynos 8 series processor as the Exynos 8890’s highest clock speed is 2.3Ghz while it has 2.6Ghz . Only time will tell us more about this. It has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The Rear Camera is a 12MP shooter with video recording upto just 1080p, not 4K. And the Front Camera is 5MP shooter which can recording videos upto 1080p. On the sensor side, seems like Samsung will skip the heart rate sensor on this refurbished phone, while the original one has heart rate sensor.
Now let’s have a look at 2 specs which seems a little different from original Note 7 :
- It runs on Android 7.0 nougat out of the box whereas the actual Note 7 comes with Android 6.0.1 marshmallow out of the box. Also we are expecting the new Samsung Experience UI just like Galaxy S8/S8+.
- The display size is same 5.7” but the resolution is 1080p. But most probably this seems to be Samsung’s new feature of Galaxy S8/S8+ which scales the screen resolution from Quad HD (1440p) to Full HD (1080p), even to HD (720p).
So that’s all the information we have as of now. If the Galaxy Note 7R will have screen scale down functionality, then there are chances that it will run on Samsung’s latest experience UI. We will get to know about this in near future. So stay tuned with us for more information.
