After tons of leaks, Samsung makes official unveiling of the new smartphone called Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, which is the rugged version of Galaxy S8 (which was launched early in this year). And the new device also coming out with better build.
Speaking about the build of the device, it is made up of Military-grade materials and comes with a bumper around its metal frame, which will help you to prevent damages that might be caused due to a drop of up to five feet. Now moving to the back side of the device, it comes with a rugged texture which will give you a grip while holding the device.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active comes with 5.8 inch Wide Quad Super AMOLED display, with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution and 18.5:9 aspect ratio, it is protected with Gorilla Glass 5. It is powered by 2.35 GHz octa core Snapdragon 835 processor and the device is paired with 4 GB RAM, along with Adreno 540 GPU. The device has 64 GB internal storage and can be expandable upto 256 GB via microSD card.
It has 12 megapixel Dual Pixel auto focus rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). 8x digital zoom, f/1.7 aperture and LED flash, it also has an 8 megapixel front facing camera with f/1.7 aperture.
The device has lots other features to give you complete assurance on security and protection of the device, as it comes with fingerprint scanner, water resistance, dust resistance, shock resistance and shatter resistance. It also has Iris scanner, Activity Zone, Samsung Knox, along with the company’s own digital assistant Bixby.
The smartphone supports dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE connectivity, and the device also supports USB Type-C, Bluetooth v5.1 and NFC. It runs on Android Nougat v7.0, and the device is backed on 4000 mAh battery with Fast Charging and Wireless Charging.
