Vodafone announces RED Shield; Here’s everything you need to know

Vodafone India has announced a new offer for its users of the country, the telecom giant has announced Vodafone RED Shield. With this users will get complete solution regarding security for their smartphone, along with complimentary insurance upto ₹50,000 for new and six months old devices.

The Vodafone RED Shield is not comes with the basis anti-theft feature, it comes with malware protection and other kinds of security guards. Vodafone has joined its hands with Shotformats Digital Productions PVT. LTD to bring the RED Shield, and the insurance cover is provided through New India Assurance Company LTD.

Right now, the service is available only for the Vodafone RED Post-paid users. And the users have to subscription for the service. Don’t worry it will not charge you more, as the subscription costs ₹720 per year and it will be added to the users bill on a monthly basis. Which means users can give the charge of the service in instalments of 12 months. Moreover, users can claim insurance cover twice in a year.

How to get the service?

To avail the service, make sure that you are a Vodafone RED user. Then download the Vodafone RED Shield app from Google Play Store or from the iTunes Store. Now send an SMS DSS to 199, it will then diagnose your device and approve.

Vodafone RED Shield has door to door pick-up and drop facility to repair damaged devices, or users can go to the service centre, or can courier the device to Vodafone.
