Nikon has officially announced the camera with a 24.5-megapixel full-frame sensor along with EXPEED 7 processor and it also comes with some features such as Five-axis in-body image stabilization (IBIS) along with 299-point phase-detection autofocus system with subject detection. It also comes with 4K video recording at 60 FPS or 30 FPS and the camera offers a 3.2-inch touchscreen display. The camera will offer burst shooting at up to 30 FPS as well.
The body of the camera is made of aluminum and the same features a number of retro design elements including a top plate with dedicated dials for exposure settings and it also features a classic Nikon logo on the board.
It also features a new Pixel Shift mode that will enable you to capture images with up to 99 megapixels of resolution and it also comes with a variety of advanced video features like 10-bit H.265 recording and support for Nikon’s N-Log and Flat Picture Control profiles.
Regarding the pricing and availability, it has a price tag of $1,999.95 and the camera will be available from October this year.
