The popular instant messaging application already features the privacy focused Chat Lock feature and now the developers of the instant messaging application are improving the platform by introducing the same for the linked devices.
With the new feature, the locked chats will be logged on your connected or linked devices as well. The new capability is available in the latest version of WhatsApp beta for Android.
The new implementation will be adding more security to your personal and secret conversations as till now the locked chats were available on the connected devices just like any other chat. This problem will be fixed with the new update.
WhatsApp is also bringing a new update that will enable you to mention specific contacts on WhatsApp Status updates. The new update will enable you to tag your favourite contacts in a photo of text update and you can mention their names through the Add Private Mentions option and this feature is available on the latest beta version of WhatsApp for iOS.
It is also reported that the mentioned contact will be getting a notification and this will never make miss your status update.
We don’t have any information about the availability of the new features in the stable version of WhatsApp but we believe that the developers will be releasing the new updates very soon.
