The popular instant messaging application WhatsApp has received the new design update on both Android and iOS platforms. The update is available across the globe and WhatsApp officially rolls out the UI with a colourless style. So without making any further delay let’s get into the article to check out the full details of the major design change of WhatsApp user interface.
WhatsApp says that the new design change is to make the platform more modern, accessible, and easy to use. The new update will be changing the look and feel of the application including colours, icons, spacing, and more.
Talking about the changes, the signature green colour of WhatsApp in the user interface is replaced with a shade of green and the same is matching with the logo of WhatsApp. WhatsApp has restricted the green to text, notifications, badges, and icons. Having said that, the developers of WhatsApp have introduced new icons throughout the app with redesigned shapes and animations.
The company has moved the navigation bar on the Android app to the bottom and this will match the application with the iOS version. Talking about the iOS platform, WhatsApp has introduced a new expandable tray in the attachment layout.
WhatsApp has also improved the dark mode and this is making the application friendly with AMOLED. You will not find any greenish-grey after the update and the same is darker to make elements more legible. The application will be offering the search bar at the top with Meta AI integration. The update has already started to roll out and it might take some time to reach everyone.
