Tesla is expected to enter into the markets of India in April 2025 and before that, today we got a new piece of information that says the company has decided to open showroom in the country and the first one will be inaugurated in Mumbai. According to a report by Times of India, Tesla will be opening its first showroom in Mumbai’s BKC (Bandra Kurla Complex). It is reported that Tesla will occupy a 4,000 sq.ft space on the ground floor. The company will be showcasing its new car models in the space.
It is also reported that the monthly lease rent is close to Rs 900 a sq ft or around Rs 35 lakh a month. It is also reported that the lease agreement is for five years while Tesla is expected to open a second showroom in the national capital Delhi and the same will be situated at Aerocity complex.
We don’t have any information about the models of the company in the country at the moment of time but it was previously reported that Tesla might import electric cars from Berlin, Germany to India. It is also believed that Tesla might launch its first EV in India for Rs 21 lakhs.
