The company which tests lot in their various product is Google, and now in the latest bid the Mountain View company is testing a lightweight search app which is designed to reduce data and perform faster.
Android police reported about this information, the app was recently spotted in an ad on the world’s most favourite social networking website Facebook in Indonesia and the ad inviting users to test the new lightweight search app.

The lite version of Google search is totally different landing page when we compared to the normal Google Search app, it is designed to provide quick access to options like news, weather and nearby. The app also provides access to bookmark pages, image search and offline pages.
Moreover, there is also a personalized button in this menu it may allow you to edit the option which you want on the menu. The app also supports for voice and text search, it also provides light web pages and internal web browser by default and both these features are said to save data.
With this move, it is clear that Google is targeting the emerging market which faces issues in the mobile data. The company has introduced YouTube Go early this year. Which is also there to save your data while using the app to view videos.
There is no confirmation from Google about its plan for the lightweight version of Google search app, right now the app is in early stages of development. And the app only available in a handful of language, it also like to target Indian users too.
