Over the past few months we have gone through a bunch of leaks of Mi Mix 2. These leaks also includes specs which includes the display size, RAM, storage, and processor. But this leak says something else. We have got live image of Mi Mix 2 showing the thin side bezels as well as some specifications. So let’s have a look at them.
As you can see from the images below, you will notice that the Mi Mix 2 will almost don’t have any bezel. And the display is also slightly more curved this time as compared to last year’s Mi Mix. Now going through the specs, the 1st thing you noticed here is the number 836. Will that’s nothing else but the processor. Yes, according to this leak the Mi Mix 2 will come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 836 processor which is yet to launch. That’s the change in this particular leak that I talked about in the start.
Now coming to other specifications, this Mi Mix 2 will pack with 4400mAh battery which is exactly same as what we have seen in Mi Mix. The camera sensor mentioned here is the 20MP sensor which is most probably the Rear one, and also expecting it to have dual camera setup. It will sport a 6.2” display having a resolution of 2960×1440 i.e. a 2K display. Well this leak contains another surprise that this Mi Mix 2 will run on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, obviously with MIUI 9 on top. Now that looks very interesting as only just launched Sony Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will become third smartphone around the globe to come with Android 8.0 out of the box. Also it will have a 256GB storage variant, same as the predecessor.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. If we talk about the two surprises here i.e. Snapdragon 836 and Android Oreo out of the box, take both these information with a pinch of salt. Usually I never say this when the launch is near, but as Qualcomm hasn’t announced the Snapdragon 836 processor and we aren’t expecting from Xiaomi to come up with a phone that has this much latest Android version.
