Honor has officially launched the latest Honor Magic 9 series in China and in this article, we will be talking about the latest Honor Magic 9. The device comes with dual 200MP ARRI cameras and a 200mm teleconverter. The device also comes with a compact 6.37-inch display along with a large 8,000mAh battery, and the device runs on the new MagicOS 11 which is based on Android 17. The device also supports Honor’s external teleconverter kit.

The new Honor Magic 9 comes with a 6.37-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display of the device uses LTPS technology and it comes with narrow bezels. The device also comes with a peak brightness of up to 10,000 nits, while global brightness can reach 2,000 nits.
It also comes with Oasis eye-care features and the display supports up to 3,840Hz PWM dimming, hardware-level low blue light, AI defocusing, a natural light-like display mode, and an AI sleep-aid display. It is also said that the device is the first phone to receive TÜV Rheinland Global Eye Care 6.0 certification.
The device also comes with a 3D unibody cold-carved glass design with a camera module inspired by classic cinema cameras. Thinking about the camera department, the device features ARRI tuning to bring the company’s color science and cinematic tools to the phone. The device includes two 200MP cameras on the rear. It has a primary camera with a 200MP sensor measuring 1/1.4 inches with an f/1.9 aperture and CIPA 7.5 image stabilization along with a 200MP telephoto sensor with a 1/1.56-inch size, f/2.6 aperture, and a 3.5x optical-equivalent focal length of 85mm. The device also features a CIPA 7.5 stabilization rating and supports up to 120x digital zoom.
Honor has also introduced the new Honor Magic 9 with a 50MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The device comes with a 55MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture and a 1/2.74-inch sensor. The front camera uses a square sensor layout, and it is the first Android phone to come with this setup. It will enable you to switch between 1:1, 16:9, and 9:16 framing without the same restrictions as a conventional rectangular selfie camera.
It also comes with the H1 chip that will be lifting some imaging load from the main SoC. It also supports RAW-domain lossless video noise reduction and the device supports an ARRI LogC3 video pipeline. The device also includes 87 official ARRI Looks. The device also comes with ARRI Movie Live that will enable a 2.39:1 cinematic widescreen format and it is also capable of recording three seconds after the shutter is pressed. The device also comes with the Honor G200 teleconverter and you need to purchase it separately. When the accessory is being used with the device’s 85mm telephoto camera, it can offer a 200mm equivalent focal length.
The device has the power of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 mobile processor along with up to 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1 TB UFS 4.1 storage. The device houses a large 8,000mAh Qinghai Lake battery along with up to 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. It is also said that the device system of the device can work with more than 300 compatible car models. The device runs on Android 17 with MagicOS 11 along with AI features which is built around Honor’s YOYO assistant. The device also comes with a dedicated AI button, which can record video highlights in a single press, while other actions can be assigned to different press patterns. It also includes AI Call Assistant, AI Calendar, AI Recorder, AI Notes, and AI File Management. The device also supports cross-device features that allow the smartphone to work with Apple devices through the Honor Connect app, including synchronized call notifications and cloud photo syncing.
It also supports Honor’s third-generation C3 RF enhancement chip, along with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and an IR blaster among others for connectivity. The device also features a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, a dedicated camera button, dual speakers, three microphones, and a USB 2.0 port. The device also comes with IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings.
Regarding the pricing and availability, the device has a starting price of 4,999 yuan and it is available in China. The device is available in Popcorn Yellow, Opening White, Curtain Black, and Olive Green color options.
