As the days are passing, the leaks of Google Pixel 2 & XL 2 are popping out more frequently. Recently we got to know that this Google Pixel 2 & XL 2 will not be powered by Snapdragon 836 processor. Till now we know pretty much all the specs of both phones, but today we have some more information regarding the smaller Pixel i.e. Pixel 2.
1st we have a rendered image which shows the back side of this phone. Some parts of this image is blurred by software but we can notice the back placements given on the right side of image. There’s a single camera which is said to come with more improved camera module. As you can see below the camera and LED flash, there are two dots which most probably is laser autofocus system. Also the fingerprint sensor is placed below.
Now coming to some other leaks that relates to the specs, this phone will come in two storage variants : 64GB and 128GB. It clearly indicates that the base storage this time is 64GB rather than last year’s 32GB. It will sport a 4.97” 1080p Full HD display. This phone will also have IP68 certification for dust and water resistance. If you are being happy for IP68 certification, then do note that the buyers need to sacrifice one important thing for water resistance i.e. 3.5mm headphone jack. Yes, Google will most probably ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack, but mainly to implement their Google Assistant powered headphones. Also Google will include the 3.5mm to Type C connector in the box. Also this time they are planning to include dual front firing speakers.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. As we know pretty much all the specs, we are now expecting Google to announce the launch date of both devices. Some rumours are for early October, but let’s wait for official words. Until then stay tuned with us for more information.
