As Android Owner Google has decided to give a midas touch to its Google Dashboard app, it’ll be undergoing a major overhaul to improve on various fronts. The app was launched by Google way back in 2009 to view the data used and to review their account. You could just be able to see how many emails you have in Gmail, how many images you have uploaded to Photos, and much more.
The new UI has been redesigned mainly so that users with smartphones and tablets, which were only beginning to pop up when Dashboard first got started, will now be able to navigate the interface on a touchscreen. Downloading user data from Dashboard should be easier as well with this update.
Besides, Google is also integrating some of the features like My account and My activity into the app to enhance the user experience and to add to the functionalities. My Account lets users update their personal info that they might want to share with others with its Privacy Checkup tool. My Activity, which was started in 2016, lets users quickly find which YouTube video they watched a few months ago and let’s users to quickly browse through various strings. More than 100 million people using the above said apps thus making a huge combined user base for the integrated app. The app is expected to be launched in the next few weeks for all users of Android.
