Honor has officially introduced its latest folding phone dubbed the Honor Magic V6 and it becomes the first ever folding phone of 2026. The device is launched with the power of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 mobile processor along with a large 6,660mAh battery, and IP68/69 ratings, among others. The latest Honor Magic V6 is not only the first folding phone of 2026 but also the first foldable smartphone to receive IP68 and IP69 ingress protection, offering resistance against dust and high-pressure water. The device has the power of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 mobile processor along with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. The device also features a new Super Steel Hinge, tested for up to 500,000 folds, and the device measures just 8.75mm when folded and just 4mm when opened.
Coming to display, the inner display measures 7.95 inches along with an LTPO 2.0 AMOLED panel with 2,172 x 2,352 pixels resolution and adaptive refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz. Peak local brightness reaches 5,000 nits and the company says a significantly reduced crease depth and the device also features an anti-reflective layer for better visibility. The device also features a 6.52-inch cover screen with a 1Hz to 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution and up to 6,000 nits brightness. Both screens support stylus input and feature 20-megapixel selfie cameras.
The Honor Magic V6 also features a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS on the back along with a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. It runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16, and it is promised to receive seven major Android upgrades. The device houses a large 6,660mAh silicon-carbon battery with 80W wired charging, 66W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. The device also supports cross-platform connectivity along with two-way notification syncing with iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch devices, the device also supports file sharing and second-screen support for Mac users.
