The Mountain View company Google has officially announced the open-sourcing of its Android Automotive OS and the platform will be powering vehicles that already offers deeper integration with vehicles and control more functions.
For those who are not aware, the Android Automotive OS is actually the brain of a vehicle that controls everything like seats, AC, driving functions among others.
This software will be helping to cut costs and development times for car makers and the same adopts a universal signal catalog. By making it open source, developers use different programming techniques to control various modules and hardware inside the car.
