It is officially confirmed that a new paid subscription for WhatsApp is under testing, and it’s called WhatsApp Plus. The company has promised to offer most of the features of WhatsApp will be available for free of cost but you need to make a payment for other things including themes and small customization tools.
The new WhatsApp Plus will be charging only for the extra features like the subscription will enable you to pin up to 20 chats instead of the usual three. It will also offer custom lists, and apply things like notification settings, ringtones, or themes in one go.
Meta will offer more chat themes, extra color options, and even custom ringtones for specific contacts. It is also expected that the application will be coming with custom app icons and other small visual tweaks.
The company has released the new setup for a limited audience and the early testing has suggested to something around €2.49 per month in a few regions.
