The latest Xreal Aura has officially been unveiled with the Android XR operating system and the newly announced Snapdragon Reality Elite processor. Unfortunately, its most important detail is still missing.
Specifications of Xreal Aura
The latest Xreal Aura glasses come with Google’s new operating system, dubbed the Android XR platform, along with Gemini integration. It also has the power of Qualcomm’s newly announced Snapdragon Reality Elite chipset. The device features Xreal’s X1S coprocessor as well, and it will be managing spatial computing tasks and rendering content on the optical see-through display system.
It will be offering a 70-degree field of view and the same will be using Sony Micro-OLED panels with 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution per eye and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It also supports electrochromic dimming that will enable you to darken the lenses when focusing on digital content. The device also supports Hand tracking as a primary interaction method, supported by front-facing cameras that feature six degrees of freedom tracking and gesture controls.
The device also features an external compute puck that houses the Snapdragon Reality Elite processor and a 4,455mAh battery. The puck will be offered in multiple options with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
It is available for reservations in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan. Interested buyers can place a $99 reservation to receive credits toward the final purchase. There is no information about the pricing and availability of the device.
