Vivo has already introduced its latest folding device dubbed the VIVO X Fold 6, a few weeks ago. According to the latest information, the new VIVO X Fold 6 will be officially launched in the markets of India in October but the source did not reveal the exact launch date of the device. The Vivo X Fold 6 features an 8.02-inch AMOLED foldable display with 2504 x 2312 pixels resolution along with a 1Hz to 120Hz LTPO refresh rate, Samsung M14 luminous material, up to 5,000 nits peak brightness, 1,920Hz PWM dimming, and the display is protected by UTG protective glass. The cover display measures 6.51 inches with 2528 x 1120 pixels resolution along with 1Hz to 120Hz LTPO refresh rate, BOE Q11 panel, up to 5,000 nits peak brightness and second-generation Armour Glass protection. Both the cover and inner displays feature 20-megapixel selfie cameras.
Vivo has introduced the Vivo X Fold 6 with a 200-megapixel Samsung HPB primary camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 602 periscope telephoto camera with VCS technology and OIS. The rear camera system also supports the Vivo Zeiss Teleconverter G2 accessory.
The device also comes with the power of the Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset along with the Vivo V3+ imaging chip. The device comes with up to 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. The phone houses a large 7,000mAh Blue Ocean battery with third-generation solid-state battery technology, 80W wired charging, 40W wireless charging and 5W reverse charging. The device also runs OriginOS 6 Fold based on Android 16 out of the box.
It also comes with IP58 and IP59 ratings. Regarding the connectivity options, the device supports Wi-Fi 7, USB 3.2 Gen 1, NFC, an IR blaster, among others. The device also features an X-axis linear motor, stereo speakers and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The device is expected to come with a price tag above ₹1.5L in India, and the source has also reported that Vivo might introduce one more X series smartphone in India along with the new folding phone.
