HMD Global introduced the Fusion smartphone with a modular design back in September of 2024, and the second generation device was expected to be announced in October of last year. But the device was not announced and now we got a new piece of information which will disappoint the fans.
It is reported that the company may have canceled the project altogether, and if the information is correct then the original Fusion will be the only modular smartphone. It is worth mentioning that there is no official confirmation about the matter at the moment of time. The delay or the cancellation might be happening due to “high manufacturing costs and profitability issues”.
