Android v8.1 rolling out to Xiaomi Mi A1 users with some serious bug

Xiaomi is rolling out Android Oreo v8.1 for the Xiaomi Mi A1 with some bug which deletes the SMS history on the device.

The Android One powered device is being rolled out Android v8.1 after long months since other manufacturers rolled out OTA updates for their handsets and even some devices come with Android v8.1 out-of-the-box. The 1.1GB update which is being rolled out has a serious bug which deletes the SMS history.

The update will also bring some good features like a new power menu along with some system UI tweaks which adapt to the color according to the wallpaper but the absence of FM radio application worries a few. Xiaomi Mi A1 is the first and last Android One powered device from Xiaomi and the phone is updated from Android Nougat to Android Oreo last December.
