Recently Xiaomi launched Redmi 8a smartphone in India that just got some positive opinions from experts and common public. If the 8a is here, where’s the regular 8? Seems like the it’s going to launch soon because today we got some leaked photos of Redmi 8 along with it’s specs and pricing. So let’s get to know some details about this smartphone.
Some leaked renders and specs of Redmi 8 are spotted on China Telecom website. First let’s talk about the pictures, this device looks identical to latest Redmi devices like Redmi 8a from the front. A water drop notch with a noticeable thick bezel at the bottom, which is kind of expected for this segment. The back also has a similar design setup, but the secondary camera and fingerprint sensor here just makes some difference. And looks like the back is covered with polycarbonate plastic giving glass like look, same as the predecessor.
Now talking about the specs, this Redmi 8 will sport a 6.21 inch of display (most probably with HD+ 720p resolution). It has dual camera setup with primary 12MP lens and secondary 2MP lens. There’s an 8MP selfie camera at the front as well. The unit spotted here has 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage, but there will be some lower storage variants as well. It will come in Red, Green, and Blue colour options as specified, and also in Grey colour as shown in the leaked pictures. Lastly, the pricing for this variant is ¥1,599 (₹15,900 approx.).
So that’s all the information we have as of now. I don’t think that there will be a lot of difference between this and Redmi 8a, maybe except the processor.
