Cortana – the digital assistant of the tech giant Microsoft debuted a couple of years ago and fighting hard to sustain in the market. Microsoft made available the application of its digital assistant on Android as well as the iOS platform, but it didn’t come up to the mark. Well, now the company has announced that it is all set to shut down the service of the application (at least for some markets) by next year.
The company has shared a post in the support forums of various regions such as the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia, and this suggests that the company will shut down the service in the mentioned regions along with the global market but there is no post on the page of the United States.
Speaking about the deadline date, the company has announced that the application will be no longer as of January 31 in 2020. However, you can still access the content within the app through Windows. Moreover, the Microsoft To Do app will allow you to access reminders and task and that will automatically sync. Finally, the company will roll out a new version of Microsoft Launcher after January 31 and that will come without the Cortana app.
