Followed by LG and ZTE, now Ericsson has announced that it will not participate in the upcoming MWC 2020 event. The company is also pulling off from the prestigious event due to the outbreak of the coronavirus. This is a very big blow for the event as many popular brands are not attending due to the virus.
Ericsson clarifies that after an internal risk assessment, it decided to pull off from the upcoming MWC event in Barcelona and the decision is based on the precautionary measures. Having said that, the company said that it contacts with the GSMA to do everything to control the risk.
It is worth to mention that the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020 event will take place on February 24 and it will continue till February 27 and the committee behind the show hasn’t taken a decision to postpone the event.
