Acer has released three new Chromebooks at CES 2022. They are Chromebook Spin 513, Chromebook 315 and Chromebook 314.
The company says the devices are designed to be safe , easy to use and affordable for productivity, entertainment and communication.These three Chromebooks come in three different screen sizes and features.
Acer Chromebook Spin 513
Acer Chromebook Spin 513 bearing model number CP513-2H, which offers 2256 x 1504 pixel screen resolution and 3: 2 aspect ratio. It comes with a 13.5-inch VirtualView display, has a narrow 7.7mm bezel, and 18% more vertical screen space, thanks to the aspect ratio.
The device is powered by an MediaTek Kompanio 1380 chipset. It will provide better multitasking and productivity. It claims to offer exceptional performance.
The device is designed to be usable in four different modes. It features military-grade MIL-STD 810H durability. It also has Wi-Fi support and a USB-C port for connecting peripherals, transferring data and charging devices.
In terms of battery life, the new Acer Chromebook Spin 513 offers 10 hours of usage on a full charge, which is down to 13 hours of battery life from its predecessor.
Acer Chromebook 315
The Acer Chromebook 315 comes with a large 15.6-inch full HD IPS anti-glare display. There is also an optional touch-screen display that allows for easy navigation, while the larger keyboard has space for a dedicated numeric keypad.
It has an Intel chipset that could be the Celeron N4500, Celeron N5100 or Pentium Silver N600. When the first model launches in 2019, it will be the first Chromebook to be powered by AMD Silicon, which means that the company is moving away from the AMD A-Series chip.
Acer Chromebook 314
Finally, there is the new Acer Chromebook 314, which features a 14-inch full HD IPS anti-glare touchscreen display with a narrow 8.1mm side bezel. Similar to the 315, it also features an Oceanglass touchpad that offers a sleek touch experience.
The device runs on an Intel chip, but the exact model number has not been revealed by the company. It also has MIL-STD 810H ratings to match. For connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 6, which is three times faster than Wi-Fi 5.
It has two built-in microphones with noise reduction technology and a webcam that helps reduce distraction lighting problems. In terms of battery life, the laptop offers 10 hours of usage on a single charge.
Price and Availability
The Acer Chromebook Spin 513 will go on sale in North America in June for $ 599.99 (approximately Rs. 44,600). The Acer Chromebook 315 is priced at $ 299.99 (approximately Rs. 22,300). It will be available in North America in January.
