The popular electronics maker Acer has collaborated with Plumage Solutions and the company has inaugurated a brand new laptop manufacturing facility in India. The new plant of the company is inaugurated in Puducherry, developed under the Government of India’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for IT Hardware.
The new step of the company is marking a very important milestone in its commitment to the ‘Make in India’ mission and strengthens domestic IT hardware production.
The manufacturing plant has the capability of an annual production of 300,000 laptop units. It is expected to generate high-skill employment, boost the local economy, and contribute to India’s goal of becoming a global hub for electronics manufacturing.
