A few weeks ago, we updated that the Indian government has allowed internet services through Wi-Fi in aeroplanes and now the much awaited service goes live in India. Air India becomes the first Indian Airlines to offer Wi-Fi connectivity in flights.
Air India has officially announced that the domestic flights will be offering Wi-Fi on the board and the service will be available on domestic flights such as Airbus A350, select Airbus A321 Neo flights, and Boeing 787-9. The service is live from January 1, 2025, and the company is planning to expand the Wi-Fi service to its entire fleet gradually.
It is also said that the Wi-Fi connectivity will be available for free of cost as part of the introductory offer. So the company will add an additional fee with the ticket to enjoy the internet on the board.
