Bharti Airtel aims to grow the OTT video market with its latest Airtel IQ video offer. The telecom network includes three OTT service providers: Raj TV, Eros Now and CG Telecom in Nepal, which will use the new video platform as a service.
Airtel says it is offering the latest solution to end-to-end service infrastructure. This End-to-end service enables brands to launch video streaming products for large and small screens with minimal investment in infrastructure and technology. This will enable Airtel IQ video companies to reduce costs by up to 40% compared to the traditional way of launching a service.
Airtel’s platform offers a variety of features, including app development, curation, content hosting, lifecycle management for search and discovery, analytics and monetization models.
Adarsh Nair, Bharthi Airtel’s Chief Product Officer, said the company is confident of reaching more than 50 customers a year in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. He added that the company is currently testing the scale of the new offer and will eventually take it to markets like the US.
